1. TvVideo: Toggles between TV and INPUT mode (activates either menu 1
or 2 when switching to INPUT, and which menu it starts on is decided
by the last input in use. ie. AV4 is located in menu2)
* The TV always start from the TV mode when powered back up from
standby)
* The TV goes to the last input mode (ie. Component) it was on when
switching from TV to INPUT
2. Color buttons; Red, Green, Yellow and Blue
In menu 1 the legend is as follows:
[ RED ][ GREEN ][ YELLOW ][ BLUE ]
[ AV1 ][ AV2/S ][ AV3/S ][Go 2 Menu 2]
In menu 2 the legend is as follows:
[ RED ][ GREEN ][ YELLOW ][ BLUE ]
[Go 2 Menu 1][ AV4/S ][ C/PC ][HDMI1/HDMI2]
Whenever the meny has a "/" in it's description ie. [AV4/S] the button that represents that event (in this case [GREEN]) toggles between the two; AV4 & AV4S. This needs to be remembered by the remote what state each button has in each menu.
Q: What variables and their state does the remote need to remember ?
A:
1. TvVideo - Except when the tv is turned on (always goes to tv then)
2. Menu mode - Is the menu in menu 1 or 2 (the tv automatically goes
to the meny where the last input was ie. If the last input in use
was PC the menu will then start on menu 2 when I hit the TvVideo
button )
3. All the Color buttons - They have different actions depending on
what state the menu is in, as described above in the menu legend.
A few examples:
Lets say the TV is in TV mode (and the last input was AV1) and I want to change to the PC input, and after that change to Component input and after that change to AV1 input and after that to HDMI2 and after that TV mode again. Here is the sequence that needs to happend:
1. TvVideo
2. Blue
3. Yellow (and maybe Yellow again depending on if PC or Component was
the last state this button had)
* PC is now the current input, now lets go to Component...
4. Yellow - (or any color button to bring up the menu)
5. Yellow - (now switches to Component)
* Component is now the current input, now lets go to AV1
6. Red - (or any color button to bring up the menu)
7. Red - To toggle back to menu 1 where AV1 is located
8. Red - To set AV1
* AV1 is now the current input, now lets go to HDMI2
9. Blue - (or any color button to bring up the menu)
10. Blue - To go to menu 2 where HDMI1 & HDMI2 is located
11. Blue - (and maybe Blue again depending on if HDMI1 or HDMI2 was
the last state this button had)
* HDMI2 is now the current input, now lets go to TV
12. TvVideo
* TV is now "active"
Additional notes:
The TV goes to AV1 when I power up the DVD(located on AV1 which is a scart) if the TV
was set to tuner input (does not do this if the input is anything else but tuner/TV).
I would suspect that the other scart (AV2-3) behaive in the same manor except AV 4 which
is not a scart. The tv returns to tuner(TV) input after turning the DVD
off.
