B&W 805S - diskanthuset
805S har berikats med det diskantmembran som utvecklades till 800 Signature-serien men själva diskanthuset och inte minst upphängningen av membranet härstammar från de nya D-modellerna! Elementet sitter också annorlunda i längdriktningen än på föregångaren 805 ( utan suffix ) Den egendomliga utformningen av huset till diskanten har sin historia i att B&W gärna vill dämpa ut all bakåtstrålning men utan att den dämpningen påverkar membranets önskade rörelse. B&W 805S - Bas/mellanregisterelementet är av vävd Kevlar
Bas/mellanregisterelementet är en förädlad version av föregångaren, bland annat har själva chassit gjorts betydligt mer stabilt och ligger an mot kabinetets front med en bred stabiliserande fläns. Häpnadsväckande bra i praktiken! Den mest uppenbara förbättringen är ljudbilden! Den blir mer tredimensionell och försvinner bakåt mot horisonten på ett helt annat sätt. Det blir mer luft mellan instrumenten och ljudbilden andas bättre. I mellanregistret är det särsklit röster som låter mer naturliga. Basinstrument får en bättre attack och låter mer nyanserade.
