Japp helt klart, ska börja kolla innan jag köper numera. Det konstiga är att 50 first dates och click fått så höga betyg på bildkvalitet på http://bluray.highdefdigest.com, 3,5 för 50 first och 4 för click.
Kanske är jag som har fel på synen då för jag tycker då ingen av filmerna förtjänar det betyget, en 2:a på dom hade känts mer riktigt.

Jag skulle nog vilja påstå att är det 4 eller mer i PQ så är det ett stort lyft från vanlig DVD.

Disney Plotting 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Box Set for Blu-ray

No date yet, but Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed on Wednesday that the studio is indeed planning a 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Blu-ray box set.

Ever since 'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' hit Blu-ray this past May, rumors have persisted that Disney was planning to release a box set of the entire trilogy, timed to coincide with the upcoming home video debut of the third film in the series, 'Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End.'

However, though Disney officially confirmed late last week that 'At World's End' would be htting Blu-ray and DVD on December 4, that announcement included no mention of any box set collection or deluxe package.

Now comes word directly from Disney CEO Bob Iger that the company does intend plan to release a three-disc 'Pirates' package. Iger's comments came in response to a direct question from an analyst during the company's third quarter earnings call. Although the CEO declined to provide a time table for such a release, he did offer that in addition to a three-disc DVD release, "you can expect to see it as a Blu-ray disc, as well."

As you might expect at this early date, there are no further details on which -- if any -- new supplements or other bonuses the release might contain, but we'll certainly keep you posted as soon as further word comes in.

Detta är säkert OT, men jag chansar. Jag satte mig ner och skulle mata in min Casino Royale i Filmgalleriet. Dessvärre saknar filmen Ean-kod och kan inte plockas fram ur databasen. Beror säkert på att det är en kopia ej avsedd för resale.

Jag tycker under alla omständigheter att det är en välfilmad film. Som Bondfilm når den inte upp till de tidigare Bondfilmerna i känslan vilket drar ner betyget en aning. Jag tycker dock att den har sina kvaliteter som spelfilm eftersom den inte är förutsägbar (nåja) i samma utsträckning som övriga Bondfilmer.

Lite extra info:

SM1 will have 24bit Dolby THD, but the original audio source was 16bit.

SM2 will have 24bit Dolby THD from a 24bit master

SM3 will have 24bit Dolby THD and 16bit LPCM.

The plan is to have a full featured version of SM1 and SM2 sometime in the future.  There just was not time or resources to make a definitive version of all three titles right now.

SM3 will be available individually, SM1 and SM2 will only be available in the box set.

Each title will have it's own case set in a box that holds all three.  I don't have the details about the region coding yet.  I'm looking into it.

Additional info:  SM3 will be coded region A for North America, region ABC everywhere else.

BBC Announces Fall Blu-ray Line-up

BBC BBC has announced their fall line-up, which includes a number of Blu-ray releases. First up is 'Becoming Jane' on September 10th, followed by 'Planet Earth' (5-disc), 'Hotel Babylon Series 1', 'Bleak House', 'Galapagos' and 'Twenty Thousand Streets Under the Sky' on October 22nd. Finally, Robin Hood Series 1' will make its way onto Blu-ray on November 29th.

'Becoming Jane' stars Anne Hathaway as author Jane Austen before she became a best-selling novelist. The title will be released on a BD-25, encoded at 1080p and featuring a DTS-HD soundtrack. Extras, including deleted scenes and numerous featurettes, will all be presented in standard definition.

'Planet Earth' will be released as a 5-dics set in the UK (as opposed to the 4-disc set already available). This release will include two Natural World programs, ‘Desert Lions' and ‘Snow Leopard', which were not included with the US release. Unfortunately, the release is still missing the 10-min making of featurettes and the 'Planet Earth: The Future' episode.

Blu-ray, HD DVD Overtake VHS in Sales

High-def has notched up another milestone, with combined Blu-ray and HD DVD disc sales overtaking VHS during the first half of 2007.

That's according to a new research report from Video Business, which found that during the first six months of the year, consumers bought more Blu-ray and HD DVD discs than videotapes for the first time in history.

Ironically, the good news for high-def comes amid a bit of a sales slump for home entertainment -- specifically DVD -- with a weak Q1 and Q2 slate of both new releases and catalog titles resulting in a slump of over 5 percent versus the same period last year.

Granted, with VHS sales are but non-existent these days, high-def's triumph over the videotape is not exactly leaving DVD quaking in its boots. Whether it is in a slump or not, the standard-def disc format is still far and away the dominant home video format of choice for consumers, and it will likely remain so for the foreseeable future

However, more important for the next-gen formats is that with DVD sales dipping and VHS now all but dead, retailers will be more likely to free limited shelf space for Blu-ray and HD DVD title. Studios, too, are seeing the flattening standard-def market as an incentive to further develop the high-def market in the upcoming fourth quarter.

"What is likely to happen as the business starts to flatten or trend downward, is it becomes less exciting for retail and they dedicate less space to it,” Sony Pictures Home Entertainment worldwide president David Bishop told Video Business.

Senast jag beställde från Hdmoviesource fick jag filmer med fullt av security stickers som pajade halva fodralen, så jag funderar på att beställa nya ifrån dom. Jag har redan beställt 3st Hama BD från datorbutiken men det var inte samma som dom hade på sin bild, kvaliten på dom var hemsk samt inte samma utseende som WB eller Sony/Disneys fodral.

Är replacement fodralen på hdmoviesource samma som Sony och disney skickar med sina BDs? eller kör dom också nån annorlunda budgetvariant?

Har du testat olivolja? Det funkade för mej när jag testade det, jag hade smetat ut klistret med allt möjligt rengöringsmedel men inget funkade, testade olivolja sist och allt bara försvann direkt utan minsta lilla spår efter sej.
