And the best part is: NO COMPROMISES!
By now our Moonity Engine is super optimized. 1080p@60fps in docked mode, 720p@60fps in handheld mode. Enjoy buttery smooth Ori that looks exactly like it does on PC / Xbox on your Switch

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition Coming to Nintendo Switch on September 27
at 6:30 am
Since the launch of Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition in 2016 for Xbox and PC, we’ve been stunned by the continuous love and support from media, our game development peers, and of course, our fans. We’re thrilled to bring the game to even more players as we announce that Xbox Game Studios and Moon Studios teamed up to bring Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition to Nintendo Switch, available starting on September 27, 2019 on the Nintendo eShop.
Winner of several prestigious awards, Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is a unique action platformer that combines deep Metroidvania style gameplay with emotional storytelling. The game tells the story of Ori who is on a quest of self-identity, sacrifice and perseverance, all while solving the mysteries of a dying forest and escaping the clutches of Kuro, the dark owl.
The same Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition experience that Xbox and PC players know and love will be coming to Nintendo Switch, bringing with it the same stunningly beautiful graphics running at 1080p and 60fps, plus all of the same great features from the original release, including new areas to explore, two additional abilities, more story sequences, multiple difficulty modes, fast travel between areas and much more. Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition was a great success for us on Xbox and PC and we are excited to bring the same experience to Nintendo Switch.
Whether you are discovering Naru’s past for the first time on Switch or revisiting the world of Nibel on Xbox or PC, we’re thrilled to have you in the Ori community. Thank you all again for your continuous support, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next.

Following our round-up on this week's European releases, we thought it would wise to break this off into its own story. Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition will be receiving a free demo tomorrow at noon eastern/18:00 CEST. It is currently unknown what the demo will offer, but we will find out in about a day!

Keep in mind that we've been working with our engine for a good 10 years now and went through multiple releases and a sequel now. A lot of the optimizations we did for Will of the Wisps ended up in the Blind Forest version for Switch, so that was a nice side-effect.
Another thing people maybe don't notice immediately is that Ori's sprites were animated at 30fps on Xbox/PC, but for Switch we were actually able to update the animations to 60fps due to all the optimizations, so technically Ori actually even animates a bit smoother on Switch than on the other platforms

(Rush, explore osv.)
How long is this game?
