Postad 12 februari 2017 - 09:44 Man returnerar.
Postad 12 februari 2017 - 09:53

Båda tillhör Konami så good luck. Ikaruga 2.

A portion of a Telegraph interview with Nintendo's Shinya Takahashi and Yoshiaki Koizumi.... http://www.telegraph...es-new-console/
T: You touched on the idea briefly during the Tokyo presentation in January, but it feels like a combination of past Nintendo consoles. Was that always the plan?
Takahashi: I wouldn’t say it was an initial objective of ours to include elements of all our past hardware with Switch. Instead we started with that initial goal that I’ve talked about, wanting to have any many people as possible ready to play regardless of their situation. As we started to think about what types of gaming environments people play in and what type of input and functionality the system need in order to be able to allow them to play in those situations. The natural result was pulling in a lot of element of past Nintendo hardware and putting them together in one system.
T: On that lineup, Zelda looks terrific, but there isn’t many games for day one. Does that not concern you?
Takahashi: Certainly we look at it not just from the perspective of what are the games available on launch day but what we have from a lineup perspective not just from this year but into next year aswell. And speaking just about this year we have our launch games, Zelda and 1-2-Switch, and we’ve lined up so we’ve got great games launching in each season of this year. We’ll have Mario Kart shortly after launch, Arms in the Spring, the lineup continues after the holiday. This time we feel we’ve launched a system that has great games at launch in Zelda and 1-2-Switch but also a very strong lineup through the end of the year aswell.
Koizumi: As you know we’ve been focussed on development on first party games, but with Nintendo Switch we’ve also put a lot of energy into making third-party cooperation possible, and that includes a lot of attention paid to the development environment that we are provided to these partners as well as the middleware we create for them. Soon you will a lot more announcements from third-party partners.
T: You’ve mentioned the 3DS there. Will you continue to support the dedicated handheld given Switch could potentially replace it?
Takahashi: Certainly I think 3DS from a price perspective is quite a bit lower, and it’s a system we’ve released a very large library for. So I think from that perspective it’s a very good system for kids to have as their first system. We still see a lot of potential for 3DS in that area. And with that in mind we’re thinking of games to release for 3DS not just in 2017, but in 2018 as well. And the hope there also is that kids playing on 3DS will also shift over to Switch at some point in the future.
T: Something else you are introducing for the Switch is a new paid online service, but we haven’t heard much about that yet. What are your plans for this?
Koizumi: So the online service is very important to Nintendo’s strategy, the most important thing for us is making the experience that much more fun for players. And so that’s what really drives us to drive us into what kind of features to include. With that in mind we have several services planned that I’m sorry I can’t talk about right now, but one thing I am able to mention to you is you will be able to use your smart device to chat with people you are playing with online.
And because this is a device almost everyone has we think that there is a very broad reach for this service, I think it’s a unique approach that people haven’t quite seen out in the world just yet. But because it is unique it is a bit difficult to explain all at once out of the gate, so we wanted to take a little bit of time and wait until we roll out some of the other information surrounding it.
T: Will the smartphone to be integral to the service beyond the voice chat?
Koizumi: Yes, we like to think as Switch as working very well together with smartphones so we’re basing quite a few plans surrounding that.

Postad 14 februari 2017 - 16:39

Koizumi On GameCube Virtual Console: “We Are Working On Some Things Along Those Lines” We know very little about the Virtual Console service on the Nintendo Switch. It’s obviously coming but Nintendo is not entirely ready to talk about it yet. One of the persistent rumours is that we are getting GameCube games on the platform. Yoshiaki Koizumi from Nintendo basically confirmed this in a recent interview with French publication Melty. He wouldn’t give a straight answer, but he did say that they’re working on something along those lines. “We cannot give a concrete answer, because we have nothing to announce at the moment. But there’s something I can tell you: we are working on some things along those lines.” Postad 15 februari 2017 - 18:27 ![]() Capcom TV aired its latest episode today, and there was quite a lot for Nintendo fans. Starfox eller Samus lätt. Postad 18 februari 2017 - 14:25 http://nintendoevery...ames-much-more/ Switch dev talk – 50,000 yen for a kit, Capcom wants to make AAA games, much more
Earlier today, the Game Creators Conference was held in Japan. At the event, Nintendo’s Masaru Mitsuyoshi held a joint session with Capcom’s Masaru Ijuin about Switch.
One big thing to get out of the way: Switch development kits. These are planned for a cost of roughly 50,000 yen. If you’re doing a direct conversion, that’d be about $450 / $500.
Originally, the Joy-Con controllers were still in the research phase and weren’t included in explanation document.
Hardware specs for Switch focus on high performance and low power. It means you can achieve nVidia GeForce’s high performance capability in TV mode, and you also can use the same device running with battery in tabletop mode and portable mode.
There was also some talk about how Nintendo achieved high performance and low power in portable mode and how it differs from smart devices. Nintendo is adopting an original operating system. You can use plenty of hardware resources for gaming apps and it can secure enough memory space for these apps as well.
Nintendo is putting high priority on wireless. Even if you go from TV mode to portable mode with Switch, it transits without a disconnection.
Next, the talk shifted to developing games while hardware is also in development. Capcom had been working on Ultra Street Fighter II for the new system. They are using their original engine MT Framework for the time being. The engine has plenty of actual results already and it had previously run on Nintendo hardware, so it made sense to use the technology. Lots of staff at Capcom are used to the engine as well.
To implement Switch compatibility with the MT Framework, Capcom begin to develop an environment to quickly examine the hardware right away. They initially excluded support of hardware-specific features and also excluded sound and network support. After this, Capcom began to develop a PC emulation environment in parallel. If you use Nintendo providing GPU emulator, you can recreate same shader on PC. With Switch, the emulator is enhanced and it is now more easy to create a PC emulator. It’s very easy to do iterations on PC, so the advantage is quite big.
One month was used to understand tools, development environment, and the SDK. Since they had been busy working on other titles, they only could secure two programmers. But with only one month with two people, they could port basic engine features.
The reason why it only took a couple of months was because the staff were accustomed to porting. Previously, they developed a Wii U version MT Framework. Also helping the situation was how the hardware structure was easy to understand, and they could use experience of creating convert process from HLSL to GLSL.
The port process was overwhelmingly faster than 3DS or Wii U. On 3DS, it took four months with four people. On Wii U, it took three months with five people. Hardware structure was very easy to understand and it also had similarity to Wii U, so that they could achieve it in a month with two people.
About main memory space, Capcom had told Nintendo that the initially planned space wasn’t enough. If you comparing to what’s inside other current-gen systems, it would definitely be short. In the end, Capcom’s request was accepted and the memory capacity became as per to their expectation.
Finally, Capcom is looking into having the Resident Evil engine be capable for Nintendo Switch. The company also wants to develop AAA titles for Switch. Postad 19 februari 2017 - 00:09 Bara 12 lååååååånga dagar kvar då.
