New Blu-ray 'combo' drive for your home PC: the BDC-S02
Our new Blu-ray drive for home computers will be available in Europe at the end of May.
The BCD-S02 will read both single and dual-layer Blu-ray disc formats and provide high-speed read and write compatibility for a wide range of DVD and CD discs . The drive will be available though our distribution network for around €250 (ca. 2300 kr).
You’ll have the choice of both black and beige colour options.
The new drives provide a cost-efficient, high-performance and simple method for you to experience Blu-ray entertainment on your home PC.
Multimedia PCs are increasingly designed to complement home environments and are geared for movie playback with powerful processors, graphics and sound cards.
The system can also be easily connected to your living room entertainment set-up, so you can enjoy the ultimate movie experience on your flat screen TV.
We’ve ensured that the BDC-S02 is price competitive to existing next generation drives so that you can, whether buying a PC fitted with the drive or installing a unit yourself, access the extensive catalogue of Blu-ray titles without paying a premium.
With DVD and CD read/write compatibility, the drive is a smart mix of next generation technology and practicality.
