We are very proud to introduce a real high tech product to the consumer market. This HDMI transmission system operates with a single fiber that is only 0,9 mm thin. The almost transparent fiber cable may be hidden under almost anything not to mention that it can be overpainted.
Fiber is always the first choice if you want to maintain signal quality over long distances with the advantage of the ground loop free connection.
The system uses advanced high speed multiplex architecture for the combination of 3 RGB , 1 clock , IR communications from display side to sources and the DDC bus into a single data stream with a back channel using WDM technology.
Two datastreams travel at the same time at different light wavelength making it possible to use only one wire !

Operation
The steady blue LED indicates communication over the fiber. A blinking blue LED indicates a broken cable or unplugged connector at the other side. The unit will not work with 1080/50p oder 60p signals, no picture will be seen with these resolutions. Same is true for PC resolutions higher than 1368 x 768p. However the system supports 1080 with 24p that is the recommended format for BluRay and HDDVD in our opinion.

IR Return Channel
The HDMIFIBER offers an infrared back channel for remote controlled devices that are hidden or located in another room. The unit is compatible with XANTECH IR products. Please connect them at the sockets labelled with IR. We include 1 IR Receiver and 1 IR transmitter with the units, so you may control one IR device, e.g. satellite receiver.
