Tyska Main Concept släpper snabb H.264/AVC codec

Main Concept som bland annat är kända för sina videocodecs under namnet Elecard har släppt en pressrelease om att de nu har lanserat "världens snabbaste H.264/AVC mjukvarudekoder" i och med lanseringen av version 3.0 av deras dekoder.

Än så länge går den inte att köpa som privatperson men kommer säkerligen att dyka upp i tredjepartsprogram under vintern. Tyvärr nämner det inte under vilka förutsättningar det fått fram nedanstående resultat, men tabellen avslöjar i alla fall att det krävs en ganska snabb dator för att spela upp HD-material i 1920x1080 bildpunkters upplösning som använder H.264/AVC-kodning, t ex HD DVD.
