HD-EP30 - http://www.play.com/...ource=0&cur=258
HD-EP35 - http://www.play.com/...ource=0&cur=258
Priserna ser riktigt bra ut, inklusive 7 filmer dessutom.

Universal Music have announced the UK HD DVD release of The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Live at Monterey (The Definitive Edition) on 29th October 2007. This special edition features all of the existing film footage from Jimi’s incendiary June 18, 1967 concert newly transferred to high-definition specs from the original 16mm camera reversal original.
The concert footage has been re-edited, making this the first time Jimi's legendary performance will be captured on HD DVD in its original performance sequence.
The DVD boasts new DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound and Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo mixes by Eddie Kramer, Jimi’s original recording engineer (HD DVD audio formats are TBC). The soundtrack is also available on CD, which features the brand new stereo mix for the very first time.
In addition to the legendary Monterey performance, this Definitive Edition HD DVD features a multitude of special bonus features including…
American Landing - A brand new documentary which traces Jimi’s remarkable transformation from obscurity to his triumphant U.S. ‘debut’ at the Monterey Festival.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Live At Monterey: A Second Look - A unique feature that allows viewers to switch between multiple, previously unseen camera angles to view several of Jimi’s celebrated performances like never before.
Music, Love & Flowers: The Monterey International Pop Festival - This is a behind the scenes glimpse of the festival’s origins, operations and lasting impact brought to you by legendary composer, producer and Monterey Festival co-founder Lou Adler.
Earliest Known Unreleased Performances - As an extra special bonus to the DVD, watch the earliest known film and sound recordings of The Jimi Hendrix Experience in concert from February 25, 1967 before a packed audience in Chelmsford, England. Songs featured are “Stone Free” and “Like A Rolling Stone.”

Both Road to Rio and Road to Bali, will be available to own in high-definition exclusively on the Bob Hope & Bing Crosby Double Feature HD DVD, come January 8, 2008. This HD DVD title will be priced at $19.98 SRP. According to information provided to us, these two films are newly restored and mastered in high-definition for this HD DVD release.
Road to Bali (1952/Color/91 mins)
- TOGETHER AGAIN!...in the BEST and FUNNIEST "Road" Picture Yet!
Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, and Dorothy Lamour team up in their sixth "Road" picture, Road to Bali, which was the only film in the series to be shot in color. Hope and Crosby star as two out-of-work vaudeville performers who are on the lam. The two are hired by a South Seas prince as deep-sea divers in order to recover a buried treasure. They meet beautiful Princess Lala (Lamour) and vie for her affections. Of course, the boys run into the usual perils such as cannibals, a giant squid, and numerous cameos from some of Hollywood's biggest stars.
Road to Rio (1947/B&W/100 Min)
- Si, Si ! It's the maddest, merriest "Road" picture of all! You'll See!
To avoid being charged with arson after burning down a circus, Hot Lips Barton (Bob Hope) and Scat Sweeney (Bing Crosby) stow away on an ocean bound ship. Aboard the vessel, the duo fall for Lucia Maria de Andrade (Dorothy Lamour), who is under the spell of her evil aunt (Gale Sondergaard). The aunt has arranged a marriage for the young beauty.

"Finally, Warner has delivered the goods, presenting 'The Shining' here in a matted 1.78:1 transfer that's slightly opened up versus the original 1.85:1 theatrical exhibition. Both the HD DVD and Blu-ray feature identical 1080p/VC-1 encodes, and they are both excellent. Although there is still the occasional blemish, this transfer is such a clear improvement over the old, dirty, speckled prints that it's hard to complain. 'The Shining' was always a rather soft film, with considerable use of diffuse lighting, but it's crisp here, offering a level of visible detail that's impressive for a film that's nearly thirty years old. Warner has also wisely not over-sharpened the source, so it remains natural and film-like.
Appropriate to the cold and oppressive mood Kubrick intended, the color palette here is muted, but most impressive to me about this new transfer is that, for the first time, the film's visual aesthetic finally comes to life, with subtle uses of select hues now seeming intentional rather than random. From the striking greens and purples of "Room 237," to the intense blue-white floodlights of the climactic hedge maze chase, to the crimson reds Kubrick selectively deploys with clothing, set design and (of course) blood, 'The Shining' at last looks vibrant instead of drab. To be sure, this is still a "'70s film" in feel, but the clarity and richness of hues (not to mention fleshtones that are finally accurate) make this transfer border on the revelatory."

Bildkvaliteten verkar tyvärr vara sådääär... :
"I've watched the HD twice now and it just doesn't look very good - that is not to say that it doesn't faithfully adhere to its theatrical roots. It has a lot of grain which at times appears as digital noise - plus there is digital noise. The image has some definite blue in it. What purchasers should be aware of is that this will NOT scale the heights of high-definition DVD image quality. The film is over 35 years old and I just want to convey that it may be best not to escalate your expectations in comparison to modern film-to-hi-def-DVD quality. Because it is not.
[...]
Better than the upgraded 2-disc Special Edition... but not by a lot in my mind. The occasional softness may be inherent in the film itself - I have to claim ignorance. The digital noise can appear slightly blocky at times and fine in others - making my determination of which is grain and which is not that much harder. The color red - frequently used in this, and many Kubrick films, looks notably pure and vibrant - probably one of the more significant differences with the SD compared HERE. Blue is heavily represented. Contrast is good - black levels are pitch. Quality, in terms of detail, seems to vary from scene to scene and this may again be a faithful representation of the way the film was shot. I don't know.
Bottom line is that this image is NOT reference quality, but it does look minutely superior in many regards to the 2-disc Special Edition.
[...]
I'm going to give this a thumbs down. It may be a marginally superior image but spreading the HD package over two-discs does not utilize the superiority of hi-def DVD. This is one case where you would probably be just as satisfied with the 2-disc Special Edition for $5 less. If you intend to go hi-def with this title - then the Blu-ray would be the superior option."

"Kubrick shot most of this film in natural light, so we find many of the scenes looking darker than usual, especially indoor settings. Add to that the fact that there is a modest film grain present most of the time, a soft focus, and some intentionally golden hues, and you get a picture that is not exactly everyone's idea of high definition. Indeed, the image, despite the 1080 resolution, is a tad fuzzy in appearance. However, the black levels are incredibly deep, inky black, and when Kubrick wants the picture to look normal and natural, the image is just as bright and well focused as any movie you'll see in high def.
[...]
The Warner Bros. audio engineers provide sound in Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD 5.1, both of the tracks effectively reproducing the music of Gyorgy Ligeti, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Chris Isaak. While occasionally some strong bass notes come through the subwoofer and a haunting solo piano comes across strikingly, most of the audio processing has only to reproduce dialogue and sporadic music. Certainly, the sound, especially in TrueHD, is smooth, sophisticated, and well focused; it just doesn't have a lot of work to do. I might add, though, that for Kubrick the quiet moments are as effective as the louder ones, so contrasts are important, and the audio handles them nicely, too."
Det blir nog ett köp av den här också ska ni se...
