More Switch games from Nippon Ichi expected in 2018

Disgaea 5 Complete was most definitely a success for Nippon Ichi. Thanks to how the game performed, it looks like the company will be giving Switch greater support going forward.

Hideki Yasuda from Ace Research Institute filed a new report on Nippon Ichi. It’s said that Disgaea 5 Complete was a big hit. Nippon Ichi released it aiming at the domestic portable market, and shipped 30,000 units. Even more noteworthy was the 100,000 copies shipped overseas. Yasuda goes on to say that Nippon Ichi will shift their policy to multiplatform development of Switch and PlayStation 4 starting with next year’s releases. They will actively commit to Switch as a means of expanding their revenue opportunities.

NIS America has actually been more proactive on Switch than its Japanese counterpart. Aside from publishing Disgaea 5 Complete in North America and Europe, they’re also handling several upcoming games. These include Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle, Penny-Punching Princess, and The Longest Five Minutes.

Japan: Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2 For Nintendo Switch Coming November 30th

 

One of the surprise announcements for the Nintendo Switch a couple of weeks ago was the news that Capcom is porting Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2 to the system. We’ve been anticipating a date for a while and now it has been confirmed today via Famitsu that the game will be released November 30th in Japan. We still don’t have a firm release date for the remastered games here in the west but we shall keep you posted.

Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 launching for Switch on November 28 in the west; Joy-Con motion controls, HD Rumble

Yesterday, Famitsu revealed that Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 are coming to Switch in Japan on November 30. It didn’t take long for Capcom to follow up with some news for the west. Both games are slated for November 28 in North America and Europe.

On Switch, Capcom is including optional Joy-Con motion controls and HD Rumble compatibility. You can use the right Joy-Con to aim your shots and swing knife attacks, and flick it up to reload Shake the left Joy-Con to escape enemy attacks when grabbed.


The co-op Raid Mode can be played online in each game as well. In Revelations 2, local co-op is also an option by passing a single Joy-Con to a friend and take on the horde together. Fans can expect all DLC and episodes previously released for both games.

At retail in North America, the two games will be sold together as Resident Evil Revelations Collection for $40. Resident Evil Revelations will be on the cartridge while the other is a digital download. Both titles are $20 digitally as individual releases.

Touhou Project Fangames Distribution Platform Play,Doujin! Expands To Nintendo Switch

Project Play,Doujin! started out as a collaboration between Zun’s Touhou Project and PlayStation, but the fangames distribution platform will be expanding with the addition of the Nintendo Switch, Mediascape announced.

Starting with the 3D shoot ‘em up fighter Touhou Kobuto V developed by Cubetype from publisher NIS America, the Play,Doujin! distribution project will bring more titles including Touhou Project fangames to the Nintendo Switch, with support from Touhou Project creator Zun.

The expansion won’t be limited to Japan, as the Play,Doujin! project aims to bring more Touhou Project fangames to Switch and other platforms in North America and Europe as well.

More information on new titles from Play,Doujin! will be revealed later.

Brutalt oväntat, att Doom och Wolfenstein 2 släpps till Switchen

 

Ska bli intressant att se hur spelen ser ut på konsollen, då speciellt Wolfenstein 2 är riktigt maffigt när det gäller grafiken.

 

Men efter att ha sett gameplay från Skyrim, så ser det ut som att Bethesda kan hantera hårdvaran riktigt bra

 

 

För ett par veckor sedan, så satt jag och funderade på, varför Nintendo aldrig portat sina arkad versioner till konsollerna, istället för att släppa de sämre NES versionerna av t.ex. Mario Bros och Donkey Kong.

Och nu helt plötsligt, så släpper dom sina arkadspel till Switchen

 

Det här blir bara bättre och bättre!

 

Undrar om Rockstar släpper portningar av GTA V och Red Dead Redemption frampå.

The next update on Atlus’ untitled Shin Megami Tensei HD project announced for Switch in January will come on October 23, Atlus announced.

The news came at the end of Atlus’ Tokyo Game Show 2017 public day one live stream today. The October 23 tease followed a replay of the game’s first trailer.

Koei Tecmo’s Attack on Titan 2 to launch for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in the west

Koei Tecmo’s Attack on Titan 2 will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam in North America and Europe when it launches in early 2018, Koei Tecmo announced.

In Japan, the game be available for PlayStation 4, Switch, PS Vita, and PC.

Here’s a brief overview of the game, via Koei Tecmo:

Attack on Titan 2 delves deeply into the fascinatingnarrative of Attack on Titan’s second season and offers players exhilarating action and new challenges, as it introduces the newly improved omni-directional mobility gear offering advanced freedom of movement and targeting precision to counter enhanced Titan movements.

Players will be able to try their new moves against these fearsome Titans as they control characters from a Titan-sized roster! Outside of battle they will be able to deepen their relationships with their fellow squad-mates while gaining greater insight into life within the walls thanks to more advanced RPG elements.

Spelunker Party coming west for Switch and PC on October 19

Square Enix is bringing Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker, which launched for Switch in Japan on April 20, to North America and Europe as Spelunker Party. It will launch for Switch via the Nintendo eShop and PC via Steam on October 19 for $29.99.

We’ve got a little more detail about L.A. Noire, it seems that the game will run in 1080p while in TV mode and will run at 720p in portable mode. There is no mention of frame rate as of now. A few other notable facts are:

– All the original game is included + DLC

– Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, and HD Rumble

– New wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles
