Dutch FilmWorks Announced Next Wave of HD DVD Releases...

Dutch FilmWorks has announced that their next wave of HD DVD releases consist of the following films:

*Home Of The Brave (MGM)
*Hero (MIRAMAX)
*The Messengers (SONY)
*Rescue Dawn (MGM)
*Tristan & Isolde (FOX)

All these films will be available to own in high-definition on HD DVD, come February 19, 2008. The video on these releases should be encoded with either MPEG-4/AVC or VC-1 codecs at 1080p full HD resolutions, using proper HD masters. Expect the audio to be in dts-HD Master Audio 5.1 (English) with optional Dutch subtitles. More details should be revealed pretty soon, so stay tuned.

Navarre Brings Trio of Ambient Titles to HD DVD



Promising to introduce tranquility to the living rooms of early adopters, high-def newcomer Navarre will bring three new ambient titles to HD DVD this March.

Due for release on March 4, 'Aquarium Impressions,' 'Fireplace Impressions' and 'Mystic Forests' will each feature a 60-minute program marrying meditative footage with soothing muzak sounds. The three HD DVD titles mark the high-def disc debut for indie distributor Navarre (no Blu-ray versions have yet been announced).

According to preliminary tech specs, each release will receive a HD-15 single-layer disc with 1080i video. There were no announced extras or audio details for any of the titles at press time.

Navarre has set a suggested retail price of $16.98 for each release.

De har gått rykte. Jag har själv beställt en sladd (komponentkabel till wii) där nån gång och jag vet att en del gamers beställer därifrån regelbundet. Jag beställde liksom du BOB från dem fast på nyårsafton så har jag tur får jag filmerna lite innan dig.
Nu hade de ju inte alla filmerna i lager så det kan ju ta några dagar extra...

More Bob Hope Flicks Bound For HD DVD

BCI has revealed that it's bringing another double dose of Bob Hope to high-def this March, with the HD DVD bow of the classics 'Son of Paleface' and 'My Favorite Brunette.'

The second high-def release in BCI's Bob Hope Collection (following next month's 'Road to Rio/Road to Bali' HD DVD release), the 'My Favorite Brunette/Son of Paleface' double feature will make its next-gen debut on March 25, 2008.

Tech specs see both features presented on a single HD-30 dual-layer disc, each remastered from new source elements in 1080p video (no codec yet announced) and English Dolby 1.0 mono audio.

There are no announced supplements, but we'll keep you posted as any further specs are revealed.

BCI has set a suggested retail price for the HD DVD of $19.98.

You'll find disc details for 'My Favorite Brunette/Son of Paleface' linked from our HD DVD Release Schedule, where it's indexed under March 25, 2008.

CES 2008 Prelude - T2 HD DVD Presented At CES

Imagion AG has announced that they will be present at the CES 2008 in Las Vegas, from January 7 to January 10, at the HD DVD Stand (South Hall #21266).

The high-definition content authoring studio has indicated that they will be presenting innovative HD DVD productions, including the German HD DVD release of Terminator 2 or T2. If I recalled correctly, various footages from the T2 HD DVD were first shown at European HD DVD Promotional Group's IFA 2007 press conference, as part of the announcement trailer for its release in Germany.

Other highlights include the demonstration of Imagion's dynamicHD technology, which is described as an easy to use content-management system for web-enabled features found on HD DVD discs. Some of the dynamicHD-enhanced HD DVDs released/to be released in Germany includes:
