A few things of note to tell you today now the main news is out:

- Tomorrow Home will be offline for some time. Judging by the level of anticipation you'll know of its return within nano seconds.
- Once its back online we will be running version 1.03 and all those with the current version will be offered a patch. The patch simply supports the server changes being made to support Open Beta.
- From Open beta onwards the age limit for Home within SCEE will change from 18+ to 16+.
- Once the Open Beta is up and running the Home icon will be on your XMB under PlayStation®Network. If you cant see it please restart your PS3 which will update your XMB. However, wait until Home is up and running first.
- Home will be available to everyone who has a PlayStation®Store.
- The Red Bull Air Race will not be included tomorrow, but will arrive within days. It will be worth the wait.
- Please remember, this really is a Beta.

Welcome aboard everyone, we hope you enjoy the journey over the months and years ahead.

Har godkänt alla invites till MHB klubben nu

Tack. Tittade in hos MHB klubben två gånger igår. Första gången var det ingen där, så jag spelade lite på Galaga-maskinerna (fixade de två sista Home-trofféerna). Andra gången var Soundborn där, men han sov i en av sofforna...

Det blir kanske lite mer aktivitet nu när den öppna beta:n kommer.

Om jag förstått det rätt så ska det vara där när du startar din PS3 imorgon.
Fast jag lär ha fel och det kommer väl en uppdatering att ladda hem under dagen.

Tror dock inte att det är från PS Store man får det.

Betan är väldigt liten i megabyte räknat, du hämtar hem "rum" allt eftersom i stället = tråkiga väntetider!

Ok, men sparas "rummen" på hdd´n eller måste man ladda dem varenda gång?
Frågor frågor, men imorgon så får man ju se själv

Dom sparas på din HDD.
Men det är ändå en del laddningstider som man får stå ut med

Edit: Eller nu tänkte jag fel kanske.
Det som sparas på HDD är sådant som möbler till din lägenhet tex.

Jag vet faktiskt inte om själva rummen laddas ner.

Något som jag tycker blir riktigt roligt är att man tydligen ska kunna vinna saker i Home när man får thropies i spel. Vore ju tufft om man kunde vinna en COD5-soffa eller en Resistance 2-skjorta

Som tidagre nämnts är arkadmaskinen med Galaga tydligen en sådan. Man vinner den om man tankar ner och spelar en stund Namco Museum Betan från den japanska affären.

Detta ska bli riktigt kul att testa. Inte för att sånt intresserar mig i det långa loppet men nyhetsvärdet är ju stort så man måste ju prova.

Intressant hur de redan nu går all-in med reklam på bra sätt som Red Bull's Air-race. Undrar hur mycket pengar Home kommer inbringa. Det kommer iaf lätt utveckla sig till världens största VR-miljö.

Home servrarna är planerade att vara tillbaka online 15:00-17:00.

Observera att själva Home-kärnan bara är på omkring 70 MB, men Home allokerar drygt 3 GB på hårddisken. Sedan tillkommer ett antal tiotals MB i nerladdning för varje rum man går in i. Och sedan tillkommer alla reklamfilmer som visas...

Vet inte om du sa till mig men ja jag är medveten om det.

Här kommer lite vettiga tips/info jag läste på officiella PS forumet.

Here are some tips for the new HOME'y


1. Fed up with listening to people shouting with the microphones (especially noticable when playing bowling), press SELECT and you will be able to choose to block people.

2. Female harrassment of any kind, again you can press SELECT to block and you can also report that person, facing someone and pressing X will show you the persons profile choices.

3. Men will and do dress as women. Sometimes the PSN id is a bit of a giveaway.

4. Women will dress as men.

5. HOME is still in BETA and will remain so for the forseeable. Success is a journey not a destination.

6. HOME will at present require 3.2GB of space on your Hard Disk. Currently you download each area as you enter it. Usually these downloads are between 15-40MBs. It will be slow if your reading this on release day December 11th 2008.

7. The RedBull Air Racing will not be open on release day. It will come in the coming weeks/days.

8. Previous Beta testers prior to global launch will loose any Clubs you did have. You can now purchase a new club, current pricing at post date is unknown but the USA are supposedly $4.99.

9. Sometimes you will leave an area with a friend yet you do not end up in the same place. This is the way HOME works. It looks for a free slot in an instance and puts you there.. you may be lucky and jump together. If you do not then pressing START to bring up your personal assistant will allow you to select your friend and GOTO them.

10. Pressing START will bring up your PDA. Yes this was once a PSP, unknown if PSP would return. In the PDA you can change your clothing and jump to other areas / spaces. The menu system is quite easy to follow.

11. If you have a microphone you may talk by pressing the R2 button.

12. New comers to the service will find the Home icon on their XMB once it is activated. You wont have to look for it, it will be easy to spot and will appear under PlayStation®Network. However, if you are online on your PS3 when we activate it you will need to restart your PS3 for it to appear. Watch these forums for news on when that is. It will work like Folding@Home in that the icon will be there and you'll download the service when you first select it.

13. A launch on this scale is new uncharted territory. It will have problems and they will be addressed as swiftly as you notice them. Multiple new posts about the same thing is not helpful. Remember this release could potentially be going to 10 million+ people.

14. No offical name for HOME currency as yet.

15. Trophies could become a form of currency with HOME.

16. HOME may not be available in your country. Please check the official Playstation website for more details.

17. Remember that what is typed (unknown about voice) will be recorded on the SONY network in some form. It is not wise to harass females in any shape or form.

18. A Keyboard is a must. You can use any USB type or a flashy Bluetooth one. Microphones are also usable.

19. HOME is multi language as the world is. How do you adapt to that in real life is how you should treat HOME.

20. Finally, enjoy HOME. Its a simulation and not a game. Many more things will come in the future. If you have further questions please search in the searchbox before posting.

Still progressing nicely, now on the testing stage. No eta still as I wouldnt want to guess how long it will take for each region to verify its elements are working but we're getting there.

Not there yet, the testing is still going on, but I wanted to mention a couple of other things that need clarification.

The Far Cry2 and Uncharted spaces will not be available in our region today as the localisation and testing phase is not yet complete. They will follow on later.

Additonally the Diesel and Ligne Roset content will be added next week at the same time as the Red Bull Air Race.

Man laddar inte hem det.
När det är släppt så finns det i XMB under Playstation Network.
Har du din PS3 igång 24/7 så får du starta om den.

Dock behöver du inte det än eftersom att det inte kommit ännu.

Testing complete and a couple of technical problems have been found. We need to iron these issues out first and I'm waiting to hear how long that might take (I'm not qualified to even guess, its very technical). Apologies, I know you all want to get in but we must get these things right. And please remember, this is a beta and today is our first step into the Open Beta environment and what we're doing today is part of the beta process itself.
