Filmen är den svenska utgåvan av "The Incredible Hulk" som ju annars har ett tjockt fodral. Det verkar som om Kjells plastficka är lite längre än normalt för omslaget har gott om plats. Det är ungefär 1,5 mm till godo på varje sida. Loggan är lite mörkare än vanligt. Även fodralets färg är något mörkblåare än original. Jag tycker dock att fodralet håller hög kvalité och jag tror inte många kan skilja det från originalfodralen.

Video quality
Video Quality on this release is in full 1080p using the AVC MPEG-4 codec on a BD-50 (50 gigabyte Blu-ray Disc). Filmed using Panavision Camera and Lenses according to iMDB, “Wanted” makes a pretty solid transfer to hi-definition. At first glance I did notice a sense of “3-D” pop during the interior office shots but also did notice a slight amount of grain during the low lit sequences outside of Gibson’s home. Having seen Bekmambetov’s other films, I do recall that most of his low lit shots tended to have similar results. But this isn’t a complaint here folks more of an observation. With that said, the chosen color palette focused more on darker colors like grays and blacks as a majority of the film was shot in darker sequences. With this sense of filming style no dark sequences suffered, whether it be the interior of the headquarters or simply the outside streets. While no one particular color stuck out to me, I will mention that blacks were fine as were most other colors.

The film’s print, having seen the movie this past June in theaters, has been cleaned up a bit. I tended to notice a little bit more grain in my theatrical experience (if this doesn’t sound right feel free to correct me as perhaps the theater I saw the movie in wasn’t of the highest quality). Don’t worry it doesn’t appear that any DNR or EE filters were used as it feels like only a slight touchup. All in all this is another fine transfer from Universal earning a “4.5 Star Rating“.

Audio quality
Audio Quality on this release is presented in DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio Surround. Just about every single aspect of this track is reference. Dialogue is crystal clear with no instance of drop out or muddled dialogue. LFE, mostly thanks to Danny Elfman’s score and the slowdown effect of the bullets, is deep. In fact take a look at the opening sequence where the guy is running through the hall. His actions are “slowed down” resulting in each footstep giving us a subtle low ‘boom, boom, boom’. Another really great demo sequence is right around 14 minutes into the film (or chapter 3) where Wesley is rescued inside the store. As our two characters flee from the would be assassin the dynamics are insane during this sequence. Everything from the screeching of the car’s tires to the revving of the Viper’s engine creates a truly impressive 360 degree soundfield. Folks we just might have our new demo soundtrack here. This earns an easy “5 Star Rating” proving that Universal just might be the studio to beat in the Blu-ray audio department.

The restoration of The Robe took three months to complete. Lowry Digital delivered digital LTO tape, multiple preservation negatives for different archives, and HD masters. Belston, who says he is “thrilled” by the restoration, reports The Robe will get a Blu-ray release for Easter 2009. “A restoration is a labor of love,” says Inchalik. “If you haven’t seen the 'before,' you’ll never realize how far it came. Everything is judged by the final result.”

Blu-ray to RocknRolla in January

On January 27 Warner wants you to RocknRolla with the debut of Guy Ritchie's latest on Blu-ray Disc, day-and-date with DVD.

RocknRolla starts Gerard Butler, Thandie Newton and Tom Wilkinson in a story about sex, thugs and rock 'n roll. It had a quiet theatrical run with a little over $5 million garnered domestically.

The Blu-ray release will be fairly low thrills with the film, its extras and a digital copy packed onto a BD-25 disc. Exact audio and video specs have yet to be released.

Those extras will comprise of the following, with possible additions to come in the next few days.

This version of THE INSIDER is going mutant. That's right folks, Fox has completed the new masters for X-Men and X-Men 2, and plan on releasing them individually and as a trilogy set (with X3) to coincide with the theatrical release of the new Wolverine movie this spring. Verkar bra. Ingen överdriven DNR i alla fall. Jag är inte så förtjust i Robert Rodriguez filmer dock.

Vad betyder DNR?

Digital brusreducering. Används ibland för att ta bort grain och störningar i bilden. Problemet är att bilden då ser plastig ut och med grainet försvinner den filmiska känslan och en hel del fina detaljer i bilden. I stället för att man ser varje linje i ett ansikte så ser det onaturligt slätt ut.
Här är ett exempel på när DNR smetar ut bilden lite. Filmen är The Thing.

Det mest (ö-) kända exemplet på DNR är Patton BD. Kolla vad plastigt allt ser ut. Extremt ren bild med utsmetade detaljer. Inte alls filmlikt.

Patton är väl filmad i 70mm. Riktigt fin bildkvalité iaf.

Diabolo>> härliga preorders, anser att det kommer m kt bättre filmer i Tyskland än USA , kommer köpa en hel del i December och framåt ja med..

duger inte den svenska textning som (iaf enl zavvi) är på åtminstone tre av de fyra filmerna (och med all sannolikhet därmed även på batman returns)?

Såg Planet of the Apes 5-disc på Zavvi ... någon som vet om utseendet på RB-boxen har samma utseende som RA-boxen? Bilden på Zavvi var ju inte direkt lik den som t ex. finns på Axelmusic (RA).

Såg Planet of the Apes 5-disc på Zavvi ... någon som vet om utseendet på RB-boxen har samma utseende som RA-boxen? Bilden på Zavvi var ju inte direkt lik den som t ex. finns på Axelmusic (RA).

Fast det blir dyrare att handla från Play iom att det omvandlas till euro 18,50 x 10,40 eller vad den står i.

Axelmusics priser är ju rena skämtet numera även utöver dollarkursen, ta Apornas Planet boxen te x
960 spänn + en frakt på 160 spänn

Den UK boxen skiljer sig och är en något mindre box tror jag och ser ut som på produktbilderna på te x Amazon.

Själv kommer jag nog köra en Fransk Import då priset är betydligt billigare än Axel även om Euron stigit.

Boxen är iaf samma som USA verkar det som även om det står franska på omslaget men det ska vara
Eng text på filmerna , frågan som kvarstår är om det är Eng DTS HD MA..

Det var schyssta priser på Batman filmerna i England, till skillnad mot Discshop som tar 249kr/st för dom.
Men svensk moms (som Amazon brukar lägga på) och frakt tillkommer på importen så prisskilnaden krymper en del.
Filmerna släpps den 22 december i England och den 9 januari i Sverige (enligt Discshop).

Hur mycket har ni betalat totalt inkl frakt och från vilket nätbolag har ni beställt i från?
Amazon, Zavvi, HMV?

Har svårt att tro att det blir dyrare från Play då Euron omvandlas från GBP och inte från SEK om du sen räknar med att du inte betalar någon frakt från Play - så bör det bli billigare från Play än från Amazon.

Jag räkna på Batman blir 720 kr för alla på Amazon UK och 760 från Play.com..
