Den har jag haft i omgångar men aldrig lyckats se, så det kanske är dags.

 

Eureka är fortfarande väldigt bra i min bok men vissa av deras utgåvor har haft irriterande defekter. B.la. Journey to the Shore som fick felaktig 24->23.976p-konvertering, där en bildruta per 46e sekund saknas genom hela filmen. Även Vingarna hade felklippt svartnivå i jämförelse mot Paramounts utgåva, vilket gjorde att de mörkaste detaljerna går förlorade.

Criterion utgåvan har väldigt fin bild som jag minns det och ska vara samma 2K restaurering som används står det. Så vi kan nog räkna med likvärdigt bra bild i det här fallet.

Eureka ska likt Criterion börja använda Scanavo fodral.

 

There will be an official announcement at some point soon but basically Amaray is no longer making the cases we have always used, so we will be shifting to the Scanavo cases from January.

Some news regarding our Blu-ray cases:

For those keeping an eagle eye on our new announcements yesterday, you may have noticed a slight change…

From January 2021 we will be switching over to Scanavo 14mm Blu-ray cases for all future new release titles. The first Eureka titles to use these cases will be THE DON IS DEAD and our reissue of BUSTER KEATON: THE NAVIGATOR, SEVEN CHANCES, BATTLING BUTLER.

This was due to the recent discontinued production of the 14mm Amaray cases that we have been using for our Blu-ray / Dual Format releases.

We look forward to bringing new and exciting physical media to life in 2021 and beyond!

Eureka! have announced the release of its very first 4K Ultra HD titles.  The most action-packed trilogy of all time, The Police Story Trilogy will make its worldwide Ultra HD Blu-ray debut from stunning 4K restorations on 26 September 2022.
