Tänkte försöka få bort skärmen från vardagsrummet men jag har svårt att få X att visa sig på TVn.

har ett pvr-350 och ett nvidia 6150.

har följt pvr-guiderna utan att lyckas (jag får tv-ut att funka vid uppspelning men ej med X)
Pillade även med nvidias kontrollpanel och twinview etc utan att det hände något (den verkar hitta tvn dock)

Nån som kan hjälpa mig?
Nån som vet vad nvidias kontrollprograms fil heter? (så jag kan köra den som root)

Kör mythbuntu 9.1 o 0.22 mythtv

Jag använder mig av ett Nvidia 8xxx kort. Typ ett jättebilligt kort.
Jag satte bara i S-video kabeln i datorn och tvn och det fungerade från början. Jag hade inte någon monitor ikopplad alls.

För att kunna spara xorg.conf så måste du nog köra nvidias setup program som root.

Så här ser min xorg.conf ut: (kör med DVI till tvn) se nedan för S-video

Jag har fixat o trixat lite med din xorg, och låtit nvidia-settings spara över xorg.conf (merge).

kan skriva att jag numera kört "nvidia-settings" som root och som sagt fått den att skriva till xorg.conf, men tv-ut är fortfarande disablat efter omstart av dator.

(jo jag kan få tv-ut att funka med endast tv:n igång, men jag vill ha tv + skärm)

Ja, du har rätt att topic-raden säger vad problemet är, men eftersom han har skrivit i en annan tråd att han har fått bild på tvn, så tänkte jag att det kanske är något speciellt som inte fungerar.

men eftersom jag redan hade en tv-ut tråd så tar vi resten här som handlar om att få tv-ut och skärm att funka, och de mer touchscreen-relaterade frågorna i min andra tråd.....

Aha, jag känner igen det där problemet. Har haft något liknande problem med min sons dator. Jag tror att du ska kunna få till det genom att använda nvidia-settings. Jag kan kolla senare vilken inställning jag kör med på den, men jag hinner inte göra det förrän efter helgen.

Som jag nämde så skulle jag kolla upp vilken konfiguration jag kör på min sons dator.
Kör Configure NVIDIA X Server settings.
Välj X server Display configuration
Välj Configure och Twinview
Välj position absolute

Du måste nog köra Nvidia programmet som sudo eller root för att den ska spara inställningarna för gott.

Både och faktiskt, men just det jag klippte in var från xorg.log (xorgs fellogg), men jag fick upp den när jag startade om också...o ubuntu startades i low-graphic mode.

Det ser ut som att du försöker köra tvn i högre upplösning än vad den klarar av. Misstänker att du kör med en hederlig tjocktv och då kan bara köra 720x480.
Test att sätta lägre upplösning för tvn eller för båda konfigurationerna.

Jag satte så att tvn visade bara en del av det som skärmen visade. I mythtv ändrade jag sedan så att den krömp allt fick plats i tvn.
