Vilket inte stämde. Jag skulle beställa 2 filmer (totalkostnad under $34.99) men frakten blev $11. Jag mailade butiken och då sade dom att det stämde eftersom jag beställde 2 filmer. Varför står det då inget om detta, utan det står ju bara "Orders up to $34.99: $6.00". Detta stämmer ju som sagt inte.

Ja, det var rea på filmerna. I svaret jag fick så nämdes dock inget om detta, utan svaret vara bara att frakten var $11 eftersom jag beställde 2 filmer. Tycker det låter konstigt att fraktkostnad räknas på ordinarie pris, men det kanske stämmer då.

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has passed along the finals specs for Point Break on Blu-ray Disc, recently announced for a July 1 release.

The "Pure Adrenaline Edition," which was previously released on standard DVD, will be presented in widescreen 1080p video and DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio.

All of the supplemental features from the standard DVD edition will be ported onto Blu-ray. They include the following.

* Photo gallery
* It’s Make Or Break featurette
* Ride The Wave featurette
* Adrenaline Junkies featurette
* On Location: Malibu featurette
* Stills gallery

Warner Home Video will bring The Perfect Storm to Blu-ray Disc on July 22, just over a year after the film was released on HD DVD.

The HD DVD release was met with harsh criticism as being one of Warner's infamous "bobbed" transfer releases. There's no word on if a new transfer has been cut for Blu-ray, and we'd be surprised if one was.

The Perfect Storm was tentatively on the release schedule for Blu-ray back in early 2006 with Dolby Digital 5.1 EX audio. An extra year's wait and the demise of HD DVD as a competing format will see the Blu-ray version receive Dolby TrueHD 5.1. audio previously reserved for Warner HD DVD releases.

Supplemental features will be identical to the HD DVD version including 3 documentaries, 3 audio commentaries, a photo montage and the theatrical trailer.

The Perfect Storm on Blu-ray will carry an SRP of $28.99.

Assembly (UK BD) in May

Metrodome have announced the UK Region B Blu-ray Disc release of Assembly on 5th May 2008. This Chinese epic is based on a true story and follows one man’s journey in search of truth and honour during a Civil War where China saw one of its bloodiest battles.

Arriving day-and-date, all features are currently TBC (including region code). It should offer the same extras as the DVD release, which features a 15-part making of (75mins) and the original trailer.

First, a number of you had concerns about The Perfect Storm BD (due 7/22). The HD-DVD transfer had some troubling technical issues, but those appear to have been corrected for the BD version. Here's Warner's response on the subject:

"The BD release we have produced for Perfect Storm includes the new 1080p master. This is a brand new encode of a brand new 1080p master."

Also, a number of you have asked about the BD transfers/encodes for V for Vendetta (5/20), Batman Begins (7/8) and The Matrix Trilogy (TBA 4th Qtr), so here's the reply from the studio:

"Each of these releases will repurpose the encode used on the HD release. They looked beautiful on HD and will look beautiful on BD. Each of these titles will be released on BD50s. We are very excited that the Matrix titles will be coming out on BD... they are going to look awesome. And with Animatrix added (not part of the HD release) it should be terrific."

Universal joining Blu-ray bandwagon in the summer

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Universal Studios, once Hollywood's top backer of the doomed HD DVD video format, will soon release all its new videos on the victorious Blu-ray rival at the same time as its standard DVDs.

The studio is set to announce Thursday that the program will kick off in the summer with the recent box office flop "Doomsday."

Universal's Blu-ray strategy includes plans to release about 40 titles in the second half of the year.

Among them are the studio's five big feature films of the summer, including "The Incredible Hulk," with Edward Norton, William Hurt and Liv Tyler; "Wanted," an action thriller starring James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie; "Hellboy II: The Golden Army"; "Mamma Mia," the adaptation of the musical starring Meryl Streep; and the sequel "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor," with Brendan Fraser and Jet Li.

Universal officially will enter the Blu-ray market July 22 with a trio of films from its "Mummy" action-adventure franchise: "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns," both starring Fraser, and the spinoff "The Scorpion King," with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Also planned for domestic Blu-ray before the year is up are the catalog titles "American Gangster," "Knocked Up," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Miami Vice," "End of Days," "U-571" and "Land of the Dead," among others.

Universal had been HD DVD's biggest studio backer ever since the next-generation optical disc format came to market in April 2006. But when Toshiba pulled the plug on the format in February, the studio wasted no time switching its allegiance to Sony's Blu-ray.

'Heroes' Double-Header Coming to Blu-ray this August


Universal has announced their first TV-on-Blu-ray release, with plans to bring the first two seasons of 'Heroes' to the format this August.

Only hours after revealing their long-awaited debut wave of Blu-ray releases, Universal is already off and running with further announcements, now setting an August 26 Blu-ray debut for 'Heroes: Season One' and 'Heroes: Season Two' (the latter due day-and-date with the standard DVD set).

Due to the early nature of the news, there are not yet any tech specs or supplement details available for either set (although 'Heroes: Season One' is expected to contain an extras package comparable to the feature-packed HD DVD version released last year).

Universal has also not yet set a suggested list price for either 'Heroes' collection, but says full details should be revealed shortly, so we'll certainly keep you posted.

In the meantime, you'll find preliminary specs for 'Heroes: Season One' and 'Heroes: Season Two' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where they're indexed under August 26.
