Rambo Collection (UK BD) in June

Optimum Home Entertainment have announced the UK Blu-ray Disc release of The Ultimate Rambo Collection on 23rd June 2008 priced at £69.99. This set brings together the first three Rambo films plus Sony’s recent Rambo. The latter is identical to the individual release available the same day, while the first three films include a new interview with Sylvester Stallone recorded in Paris this year.

First Blood, Rambo – First Blood Part II and Rambo III are coded for Regions A and B and feature 1080P Widescreen (VC1) presentations with English 5.1 DTS HD Master Audio. The only extra on each disc is “Sly vs Rambo – interview Paris 2008 (8mins 40secs).

Rambo is coded for all regions and features a 1080P Widescreen transfer with English Dolby True HD 5.1 audio. Extras are plentiful and detailed in full here.

Lonesome Dove på väg till BD. Kul med mer kvalitetsvästern. Hoppas den är i 16:9. Min DVD är i 4:3 och har kass bild.
Fast den är kanske skapad för 4:3-sändningar och då är det ju inget att göra åt.

Jag har inte sett Norden-release för Rambo, förutom den senaste. Alltså Rambo 4.

Fick den på mail. De filmerna du undrar över ligger under "Maj" så det är nog bara ett stavfel på dem. Release 27-maj alltså.

Listan verkar dock ändå inte vara specfik för norden. UK listar Rambo 27 maj (amazon).

Universal Unearths 'The Mummy' Blu-ray Specs

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has released the full disc specs for The Mummy, part of the first wave of Blu-ray Disc titles from the studio due to arrive on July 22.

The Mummy on Blu-ray will be presented in a widescreen 2.35:1 remastered 1080p transfer and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. In comparison, the previous HD DVD version offered lossy Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 audio.

The full suite of supplemental features from the collector's edition DVD have made their way to Blu-ray Disc, along with a few new ones and the return of an old friend: U-Control. Universal will continue to use this interactive picture-in-picture feature on Blu-ray after utilizing it on several high profile HD DVD titles.

Also new to this release and available on the companion DVD version is a preview for the upcoming The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor film. The complete list of features are as follows.

Alla äldre katalogtitlar lär ligga på is ett tag. Plutonen kan jag se på BD då den lär sälja men blood in blood out lär dröja ett tag då marknaden inte är så stor.

ITV Blu-ray in June

ITV DVD have announced the UK Blu-ray Disc release of six titles on 23rd June 2008. The first batch of titles from ITV will be priced at £19.99 each and cover a wide range of genres. Exact features are TBC, though we expect bonus features to match the existing DVD releases. We can also confirm the discs will not be region coded.

The titles are: Black Narcissus, The Boys from Brazil, Bugsy Malone, Escape to Athena, Great Expectations and Strictly Ballroom.

We hope it's not AstroTrain, of course! But it probably makes sense that we should, at the very least, expect Transformers and G.I. Joe classic releases to come out on DVD in time to tie in with upcoming new theatrical films of those properties, which hit the box office in 2009. We've gotten advanced, inside word (you heard it here first!) that the 2007 Transformers live-action film with Shia LaBeouf will be coming to Blu-ray Disc on September 2nd, in a 2-Disc Special Edition (similar to last year's HD DVD version)...but its doubtful that Hasbro would be ready with their first "G1" Transformers cartoon release on DVD by that time, to tie in with that release. You never know, though! Stay tuned for new reports, as developments occur.
