Marantz släpper 2 nya slimline DVD-spelare enligt följande pressrelease:
"The new DV6600 delivers a first-rate picture thanks to its use of the latest video technology, including Faroudja DCDi processing, an HDMI 1.1 interface, video scaling circuitry capable of outputting 720p and 1080i video signals, PAL and NTSC Progressive Scan, as well as an ADV7322 216MHz/11-bit DAC from respected manufacturer Analog Devices, all for £350.
The HDMI 1.1 connection ensures a high quality, full bandwidth, uncompressed digital video and audio signal transmission to any suitable High Definition display or projector. Using this connection the component can deliver video upconversion to 1080i, which means incredibly sharp pictures with outstanding definition.
What’s more, the machine not only plays compact discs and DVD-Videos, but also DVD-Audio and Super Audio CD multi-channel music discs. In fact, the DV6600 is compatible with nearly every video and audio format including DVD-R/RW, DivX, MP3, WMA and JPEG.
As you would expect from Marantz, audio excellence is guaranteed. The DV6600 uses 24-bit/192kHz, Delta-Sigma, Digital-to-Analogue converters from Texas Instruments across all six channels. The data converters use TI’s enhanced multilevel delta-sigma architecture to achieve excellent dynamic performance and improved tolerance to clock jitter. There’s also an ‘Audio Exclusive’ mode that bypasses the video circuits for audiophile sound quality without EMI interference, and gold-plated line outputs.
Finally, the DV6600’s rigid chassis, shock-absorbing feet and full metal front panel help minimise internal vibration and mechanically induced jitter.
Meanwhile, the elegant new remote controlled £100 DV4360 DVD player offers excellent images, employing as it does PAL and NTSC progressive scan via its component output, a 54MHz/10-bit video DAC and on-board Dolby Digital decoder. The unit is compatible with many with many leading video formats including DVD-R/RW, DivX, SVCD and JPEG. Audio playback is taken care of by 24-bit/192kHz DACs from respected manufacturer Wolfson Mircoelectronics. All these electronics are housed in a rigid metal enclosure, with a thick fascia and shock-absorbing feet."
